Building on a reputation as a trusted source for educational content, GPB Education is entering a new chapter with Virtual Reality. Students can be transported to places and environments which are not readily available to them. These types of experiences also help students make more authentic connections to the content and learning objectives. With a whole new level of immersive learning, this GPB Education app allows students to sit on the stage at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and follow along with the musicians and conductor with real-world performances.
Students can explore the following:
·Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performance of "The Imperial March" (Darth Vader’s Theme) from The Empire Strikes Back by John Williams.
·Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performance of "Entrance of the Queen of Sheeba" from Solomon (Sinfonia to Act III) by George Frideric Handel.
·Atlanta Symphony Orchestra performance of the Overture to the Creatures of Prometheus, Opus 43, by Ludwig van Beethoven.
