-22.7°C (PC)
A MUSICAL AND POLAR EXPERIENCE
The crackling sound of the glaciers, the breathy shifting of the pack ice, the silence of the polar night ... The electronic musician Molécule took himself off to the Greenland village of Tiniteqilaaq for five weeks of solitude in 2017. There he recorded the sounds of the Arctic for his latest album -22.7 ° C. This led to a VR experience that immerses the user in a sensory and introspective journey across the polar region.
The harsh beauty of these arctic worlds comes face-to-face with Molecule’s personal inner worlds on this journey of initiation. These “inner worlds”, virtual universes, have been conceptualised in 3D by Jan Kounen and Amaury La Burthe. With the Molécule soundtrack, the two worlds merge harmoniously and plunge us into the heart of the process of musical creation. This hybrid project thus combines the best of immersive technologies with cinema technology and experimentation around sound and music.
