As a Trainee Requisition Operative, you will manoeuvre your space-pod through beautiful and dynamic interplanetary crash sites. You will be required to scavenge for valuable resources from dubious wreckage left behind by large scale battles or stashed away in minefields.

However, you will not be the only one retrieving goods. Competitors and wandering scavengers are sure to be nearby, so SSC expects you to fight for survival* in these rugged environments engulfed by the unknown. Do not worry though, you will be accompanied by the pod’s enthusiastic, but amoral AI companion who will track your every movement for us. They will report on your performance and providing valuable advice to help you become the most productive SSC employee you can be!

Your primary responsibilities will involve making yourself available at a moment's notice, to navigate through wreckage and asteroids in search of valuable assets for SSC.

An allowance of no more than one second per day is given to marvel at the beautiful colour palettes of space; your pay will be docked on a per-second basis after this point.

You will be expected to learn to pilot your Collection Pod whilst on the job, following the minimal possible training required under intergalactic law. Not to worry, though-the intuitive and responsive motion control scheme is very easy to pick up, you’ll be fine!

You will be required to navigate the complex inner workings of the galaxy's factions and take on as many jobs as possible to progress your career within Space Salvage Corporation! We are firm believers in our 0-hour contract policy, so any time you’re not out there salvaging, is a waste of yours and the company's time!

Your loyalty and work will be rewarded by a small, but non-negotiable salary which you can use to upgrade your Collection Pod.

All potential Space Salvage Corporation Trainee Operatives must:

Be able to follow orders and complete tasks on time;
Possess the ability to work with under 4 hours of sleep;
Demonstrate proven critical thinking, problem-solving and judgement skills;
Have extensive knowledge of/experience with pressing buttons and switches;
Implement an approach that fosters a non-threatening workplace environment;
Demonstrate commitment and ability to work with no breaks in a complex and unfamiliar environment;
Demonstrate confidence to navigate through challenging environments in zero-gravity;

Ideally, applicants will:

Complete our beginner training course called “Space Salvage Demo”;
Complete the feedback form when finishing the demo;
Demonstrate the ability to be seated the entire time when on the job.
